Happy New Year! I wish everyone had a nice start of 2018! Since after Christmas, Chicago’s weather has been really cold. We’ve been getting 10’s and single digit temperature. Even though it’s super cold and you’re gonna get frost bite if you don’t wear gloves, I’ve been living without gloves and hat. I have couple hats and gloves in my closet, but for some reasons, it didn’t bother me to wear them.

Warm accessory for cold weather

Now that I experienced couple weeks without covering my ears and hands, I started to feel I should wear them…at least cover my ears. So instead of a hat, I wanted to wear a headband. I’ve made couple headbands as a gift for my friends, and they looked so cozy. I actually don’t own any winter headbands, and I don’t know why I never had one until this day.

So I introduce you Eve Crochet Headband! Little behind the story why I named it Eve is that I was watching Japanese TV show called Kohaku Uta Gassen (Year-end Song Festival) that’s on every New Year’s Eve while making this headband.

Pin it now, crochet later!

Yarn I used for the project

I used Red Heart Soft Essentials, which was left over yarn from my other project, and I loved how soft, chunky, and cozy it was. I wanted to make something quick and simple, and this yarn was perfect for that.

Stitches I used for this pattern is very simple, so it’s beginner-friendly, and you can make this in about 30 minutes! Also, you’ll have enough yarn left over to make my Chunky Wrist Warmer. It’s another quick project so it’ll be perfect gift set!
